A little bit about me
Throughout my career I have led Board level communications in complex organisations, including the NHS, HM Revenue and Customs, Cabinet Office, Department of Health and Social Care, and local government.
I am originally from Stoke-on-Trent and I moved to London to go to King's College University, to study theology. I now live in London and I'm mum to three fantastic boys, trying to stay healthy playing netball.
I am an advocate for strategic approaches to organisational communication and engagement that help drive culture change, enhance performance and reputation. I’m currently working with a great team as Communication Director for IBM UK Healthcare and Life Sciences. Before joining IBM, I was recognised as one of the top ten public sector Directors of Communications (PR Week Power Book 2018 and 2019).
I am a Chartered Practitioner, CIPR Council member, Finance Committee member, and I chair the CIPR Health Group. I am also a fellow of the Institute of Internal Communication and a visiting lecturer at Berlin’s Quadriga University on its Leadership MBA.
